CHARSADDA: A man, his wife and a young daughter were killed in a shooting incident stemming from a dispute over a marriage proposal in the jurisdiction of Saro police station here on Sunday, the police said.

A complainant, Inayatullah, filed a report to the police, stating that he was visiting the house of his nephew, Nematullah, in Dila Zak area when Nematullah’s relative, Umar, along with his brothers Shakoor and Junaid, came and asked Nematullah’s wife to accompany them to clarify a matter regarding a marriage proposal.

“Nematullah, his wife, and their young daughter, went along with them. A short while later, the family received information that the bodies of the three were lying at the hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, they confirmed that all three had been killed,” Inayatullah said.

The complainant accused Umar, Junaid, and Shakoor of committing the triple murder. He said the motive behind the killings was a dispute over a marriage proposal. It was also revealed that one of the accused, Shakoor, had relations with Nematullah’s wife.

The police registered a triple murder case and initiated an investigation.
