KARACHI: Atlas Honda Ltd (AHL) plans to launch an electric scooters specifically designed for Pakistani consumers, following the government’s announcement of the National Electric Vehicle Policy (NEVP).
In a filing to the PSX on Tuesday, the company said it is actively engaging with regulatory bodies to obtain the necessary permissions and approvals to ensure a smooth rollout.
The company stated that it intends to launch the electric scooters before the end of the current fiscal year, after completing the required quality checks and road testing.
In its annual report for the year ended March 2025, AHL outlined its long-term EV strategy, aiming to capture a significant share of Pakistan’s EV market by 2030. The company will focus on urban commuters, delivery services, and government fleet programmes. It plans to differentiate itself through high-quality, locally assembled electric bikes, backed by its established brand reputation.
