Gaza’s health ministry says laboratories across the Strip are in urgent need of additional equipment to conduct tests on the wounded, Al Jazeera reports.

It said laboratories and blood banks in the remaining hospitals were down to 40 per cent of their equipment, which is operated without regular maintenance work.

It added that an estimated 60pc had been destroyed in Israeli attacks.
