Over Rs7m worth of valuables, cash looted

ISLAMABAD: Criminals looted cash and valuables worth over Rs7 million from three different places, besides brutally beating up a woman and her daughter in one of the robbery incidents, police said on Monday.

In another robbery incidents, gunmen looted cash and gold ornaments worth Rs4.5 millon from a woman and her daughter at near F-9, located about two kilometers away from Margalla Police Station, besides, manhandled them brutally.

The incident took place when Hajra Khatak along with her daughters came over to a fast food outlet at F-9 Park and sitting in her car. A car appeared there and blocked her vehicle and four persons disembarked from it and made and attempt to loot the woman’s car.

The gunmen brutally beat her and her daughter when the woman put up resistance and threatened them with dire consequences. They also tore the dress of one of her daughters.

Later they snatched a bag containing Rs2 million and gold ornaments weighing 10 toals at gunpoint and escaped. Over the incident a case was registered at Margalla police station.

Moreover, three armed persons entered a house and looted cash, gold and mobiles worth over Rs550,000.

The house was of Khurram Shahzad, located in the area of Chatha Bakhtawar, two kilometers from Shahzad Town police station.

The robbers held the residents at gunpoint and later detained them in a room.Theylooted gold ornaments weighing two tolas, Rs5,000 and a mobile phone and escaped.

The Shahzad Town police have registered a case under section 392 of PPC.

Meanwhile, culprits stole cash and gold ornaments worth over Rs2.8 million from a house of Mohammad Arham, located in the area of F-17/2.

Arham and his family were not at home at the time of the robbery.
