IGP vows to provide foolproof security during cricket matches
ISLAMABAD:Inspector General of Islamabad Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and the Capital Development Authority (CDA )Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Mohammad Ali Randhawa on Friday discussed security arrangements, traffic congestion for the upcoming international events Euro Village 2025 and cricket Champions Trophy.
During the meeting Inspector General of Islamabad Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and Chairman CDA, also Chief Commissioner Islamabad Mohammad Ali Randhawa focused on discussions regarding ensuing foolproof security, resolving traffic congestion, and parking arrangements during the international events taking place in Islamabad.
The IGP stated that the best security arrangements would be made in the city for the upcoming event Euro Village 2025 and International Cricket Champions Trophy, ensuring foolproof security during the arrival and departure of foreign guests.
He said that the Islamabad police was taking all possible steps to manage traffic flow effectively while considering citizens’ convenience and safety. IG Islamabad further highlighted that an excellent traffic plan would be devised during the cricket matches.
Alongside the Champions Trophy, the European Union is also organizing Euro Village 2025 festival in Islamabad.
Mr Randhawa assured that the best arrangements would be made for the foreigners as well as local residents during the festival and cricket matches.
In this connection, district administration, along with the Islamabad police, would work together to ensure the successful hosting of these events.
