Seven offloaded from different flights

GUJRAT: Seven passengers were offloaded from different flights at Sialkot International Airport by the immigration authorities and as many passengers arrived at the airport after being deported from different countries.

Official sources said Muhammad Nawaz and Muhammad Muazzam were offloaded from the flights to Italy and United Kingdom, respectively, for having issues with the visas and other travel documents.

Similarly Umar Basheer, Muzammil Hussain, Umar Sajid, Wasiq Raza and Umar Siddique were offloaded from the flights to Oman, Saudi Arabia, Sharjah and Bahrain on different reasons.

Seven passengers also landed at Sialkot airport after being deported from Russia, South Africa, Mozambique, UAE, Iraq and Scotland.

They were sent to anti-human trafficking cell, Gujranwala, for further necessary action.

ARRESTED: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Gujranwala Zone, claims to have arrested two human traffickers.

A spokesman for the Gujranwala FIA circle said agent Moeez Butt of Mohallah Rangpura near Panjtan Pak Masjid, Sialkot, was arrested in case number 908/24.

He extorted Rs10 million for sending complainant’s brother Waqas to Austria for employment.

Similarly Muhammad Yasin of Noshehra Road, Mohallah Naveed Colony, Gujranwala, had been arrested in case number 21/25.

He extorted Rs560,000 for sending complainant’s brother Nazir Ahmad to Qatar.

CONGREGATION: The three-day congregation of Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) will begin here on Friday (today).

The student delegates from across the country have started reaching Gujrat, said IJT Nazim Saifullah Tariq while briefing the media here on Thursday.

He said the event has been orgainsed at Mukabbar campus of a private school system located near Airport Chowk in the suburbs of the city for which preparations have been completed.

The event will start with Jumma sermon by Jamaat-i-Islami Punjab emir Dr Tariq Saleem whereas JI emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman will address the participants in the evening.

Former JI emir Sirajul Haq, Naib Emir Liaqat Baloch, JI Balochistan chief Hidayatur Rehman Baloch, Dr Raees Gul, Shahid Hashmi and IJT leaders will also address the participants on second and third days of the event.

An international session will be held on Saturday (tomorrow) featuring the representatives of different student organisations from Palestine, Turkiye, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
