The Pentagon has said that more than 656 metric tonnes of aid was delivered through a US-built aid pier off the coast of Gaza, only hours after it resumed operations, Al Jazeera reports.

The pier, which was temporarily removed last week due to poor weather conditions, was re-anchored and resumed operations on Wednesday, according to Pentagon press secretary, Pat Ryder.
