Unicef spokesperson says situation in Gaza ‘utterly dire’
Unicef spokesperson James Elder, in an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, has said that the situation in Gaza is “utterly dire”.
“I was in Al-Aqsa Hospital on Tuesday […] with doctors walking over children missing limbs, with horrendous burns […] children urgently need medical attention outside but cannot get it. And if they cannot get it, they will die,” he said.
He further said that there was “far too less” aid coming into Gaza, leading to “an unprecedented nutritional crisis”.
