Israeli military intercepts ‘suspicious aerial target’ fired from Lebanon

The Israeli military has announced that it intercepted a “suspicious aerial target” that was fired from Lebanese territory into northern Israel, Al Jazeera reports.

It said the unspecified target was intercepted over the maritime space near the city of Acre and there have been no injuries or casualties reported.

Cross-border attacks have intensified between Lebanese armed group Hezbollah and the Israeli military in recent weeks, escalating fears that all-out war could erupt.
