Barbados and Palestine have signed a joint communique establishing diplomatic relations, according to a post by the official X account of the Palestinian mission to the UN.
“Today, and following recognition of the State of Palestine, Barbados and the State of Palestine signed a joint communique establishing diplomatic relations,” the post read.
Quoted in the post, Palestinian Ambassador to the UN Riyad Mansour said, “Today is historic day, not only we establish our diplomatic relations and solidify our friendship between our peoples, but we also recognize our distant yet common history of a just struggle towards self-determination, towards independence, towards sovereignty, towards equality, and towards freedom.”
