Former US president and convicted felon Donald Trump has said that Chuck Schumer, the US Senate majority leader and top-ranking Jewish official in US history, is “becoming like a Palestinian” amid his criticism of Israel’s government, Al Jazeera reports.

Trump told Sean Hannity on Fox News that Israel doesn’t “have the backing” of Democrats in the US, adding that this was a “very dangerous thing”.

“Even Schumer, he’s become like a Palestinian. Chuck Schumer. Jewish. Always strong for Israel. He’s become like a Palestinian,” he said.
