The health ministry in Gaza said that at least 34,844 people have been killed in the Palestinian territory in the Israeli bombardment, AFP reports.

The tally includes at least 55 deaths in the past 24 hours, a ministry statement said, adding that 78,404 people have been wounded in the Gaza Strip since the bombardment started on October 7.
