The UN office for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) has said there is “alarming concern over hygiene and sanitation” in Gaza as summer begins, also posting footage showing major destruction at the organisation’s sanitation office in Bureij camp.

“Waste is piling up, increasing spread of diseases – but necessary machinery is destroyed,” it said, alongside footage of a destroyed UNRWA truck on its side next to the office.
