The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) has said that over one per cent of Gaza Strip’s population has been killed in Israel’s military operation since Oct 7.

“Life is draining out of Gaza at terrifying speed,” the UNRWA said in a post on X.

It highlighted that an unknown number of people lie under the rubble, reiterating that the agency was being denied access to northern Gaza.
