About 30,000 worshippers prayed at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite a heavy Israeli military presence around the holy site in occupied East Jerusalem, Wafa news agency reports, citing the Islamic Waqf department that administers the site, according to Al Jazeera.

Wafa reported that Israeli forces arrested numerous worshippers and stormed the mosque after prayers ended.
