Netanyahu to appoint aid coordinator for Gaza: report
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has plans to appoint a new humanitarian aid coordinator for Gaza after the military’s “failure” to oversee aid deliveries there, Israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth (Ynet) reports.
Ynet says the Israeli prime minister made the comments during a meeting with his war cabinet on Saturday night.
Humanitarian workers say UNRWA is the only organisation with the capacity to deliver humanitarian assistance in Gaza at the scale required.
