European Union’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has said he supported US Vice President Kamala Harris’ call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

“There should then be no obstacle for a UNSC resolution to that effect,” Borrell said in a post on X.

Borrel said that Harris was right when she said that too many people had been killed and urged Israel to allow unimpeded humanitarian access.

“Time for the UNSC to act,” he said.
