Hospital ‘unprepared’ to deal with large number of injuries in Rafah: report
Abu Youssef al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah, where victims of a car attack have been taken for treatment, was unprepared to deal with the large number of injuries it is receiving, Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud reports.
He said that the hospital has also turned into a“ refugee camp, with displaced people crowding inside its corridors“, while leaving “no space for paramedics or doctors to move freely”.
“The pressure continues to increase on Rafah’s health facilities,” he added.
He wrote, “People there are also continuing to reel from the aftermath of Thursday’s ‘flour tragedy’, as is it is being called.”
