Sweden’s national bomb squad is currently inspecting the object according to the state broadcaster SVT, Al Jazeera reports.

The police have opened an investigation but say that at the moment it poses no danger to the public.

The object was found by embassy personnel according to SVT, who say that there are ten police vehicles at the scene and the area has been cordoned off.
