US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is set to arrive in Israel over the weekend for what will be his sixth visit to the region since the start of Israel’s onslaught on Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.

The US diplomat will be in Israel from Saturday until Monday, Israeli media reported, adding that Blinken will meet with the newly-appointed UN Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza, Sigrid Kaag, before heading to Israel.

During his fifth visit to the region in early January, Blinken toured Israel, Turkey, Greece, Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the occupied West Bank and Egypt.
