At least 26,637 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel’s onslaught on the Palestinian territory began October 7, the health ministry has said in a statement, AFP reports.

The latest toll includes 215 deaths over the past 24 hours, while 65,387 people have been wounded, the statement added.
