An unidentified man has been killed by the Israeli army in Haifa after a suspected ramming attack that reportedly left one injured, Al Jazeera reports.

Israeli media are reporting that the man carried out a car ramming attack that left another man injured in the Bat Galim neighbourhood.

The Israeli army claimed in a statement that a “terrorist” carried out a ramming attack next to an army base and was “neutralised” by Israeli soldiers after he tried to attack them with an axe.

Unverified pictures on social media show an armed Israeli soldier standing above a man lying in the street with a hatchet next to him. Another photo shows a car with its front smashed next to a wall.
