China has never provided any weapons or equipment for the conflict in Gaza, a Chinese defence ministry spokesperson has said, Reuters reports.

“China has always adopted a prudent and responsible attitude in arms exports,” said ministry spokesperson Wu Qian during a monthly press briefing in Beijing.

Wu was asked to comment on reports that Israel Defence Forces had found that Hamas fighters used large amounts of Chinese-made weaponry in the Gaza Strip.
