Israeli military pushing further into Nasser Hospital courtyard
“In overnight attacks and early hours of this morning, the city of Khan Younis is just experiencing an intense bombing campaign causing further civilian casualties and more displacement,” Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud reports.
“There’s more destruction, not only to the residential homes, but now also to the public facilities, including Nasser Hospital, the largest hospital in the city of Khan Younis.
“People are trapped inside the buildings, including the medical staff and those who have been critically injured since the beginning of the conflict – patients with life-threatening conditions and evacuees who could not leave the hospital given the intensity of the bombing,” he added.
“There is concern over the fact that the Israeli military is gradually pushing deeper into the courtyard of the hospital. It already destroyed the northern fence and is cutting off all the roads and the main roads leading to the gates of the hospital,” he said.
