Political analyst Ali Anbori tells Al Jazeera as long as the United States supports Israel, Iraq, along with Iran, feels a “responsibility” to support the Palestinians.
It is crucial for Baghdad to have a good relationship with Washington, but as long as it refuses to address the root cause of violence in the Middle East a “normal relationship with the United States will be much affected”, Anbori said.
