Fighting between Israeli forces and Palestinian fighters in Gaza’s southern Khan Younis was the most intense in over two months, and Palestinian armed groups are continuing to attack Israelis in areas they had previously “cleared” in the territory, Al Jazeera reports.

The Institute for the Study of War and the Critical Threats Project, two US-based think tanks, also said that a senior Hamas official has called for Palestinian fighters from other armed groups to escalate their attacks on Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank.
