A Palestinian organisation in Lebanon, which identifies itself as the “Alez Al-Islami” brigades, accepted responsibility for the intrusion into Israeli territory in the Mount Dov region, Haaretz reports.

The organisation admitted that three of its men were killed on the spot, in what it claimed was an unmanned aerial vehicle attack.

The announcement stated that the operation in Mount Dov was a response to the assassination of senior Hamas officials in Lebanon in recent weeks.
