Number of Palestinians detained in West Bank since October 7 surges to 5,875

The tally of Palestinians arrested by the Israeli forces inside the West Bank since October 7 has surged to approximately 5,875, Wafa reports citing the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and the Detainee and Ex-Detainees Affairs Authority.

According to the joint statement by the two prisoner advocacy organisations, the count includes individuals detained from their homes, at military checkpoints, those compelled to surrender under pressure, and individuals taken hostage.
