Germany’s Foreign Office said that overnight strikes against Houthi military targets in Yemen by Britain and the United States were meant to prevent further attacks, Reuters reports.

“Our aim remains to de-escalate tensions and restore stability in the Red Sea,” wrote the ministry on social media platform X.
