Israeli strikes intensified overnight and five Palestinians were killed in Deir el-Balah when their home was destroyed. Ambulances struggled to reach the wounded amid Israel’s widespread attack, reports Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum from Rafah, Gaza.

“It was another hard night for Palestinians in Gaza,” he says.

“Khan Younis and areas throughout central Gaza have also been hit with heavy artillery shelling. Residential buildings have continued to be under attack in the last few hours, particularly in Khan Younis,” the reporter adds.
