Egypt president calls for ‘decisive stance’ to push for Gaza truce

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has said that providing more aid to Palestinians in Gaza requires a “decisive stance” from the international community to push for a ceasefire, Reuters reports.

According to an Egyptian presidency statement, Sisi met with Jordan’s King Abdullah and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the Jordanian Red Sea city of Aqaba where the three leaders rejected what they said were any efforts or proposals aimed at “liquidating the Palestinian cause”.
