Gaza crisis impact on financial stability limited so far, says BoE policymaker
The crisis in Gaza and related conflict in the Middle East has only had a limited impact on financial stability so far as a rise in shipping costs has been countered by lower oil prices, a Bank of England policymaker said, Reuters reports.
“The impact so far on financial stability hasn’t materialised, but it is clearly something to be watching very, very carefully,” Nathanael Benjamin told parliament’s Treasury Committee.
