Palestinian Ministry of Education says that 4,296 students have been killed and 8,059 were injured in Gaza and the occupied West Bank since October 7, Al Jazeera reports.

In a statement, the ministry said that 4,257 students were killed in the Gaza Strip and 39 in the West Bank.

In Gaza, 281 government schools and 65 schools affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA) were bombed and vandalised, resulting in 83 of the buildings being severely damaged and seven completely destroyed.
