Unicef calls for Gaza ceasefire for provision of critical child survival interventions

Unicef says it needs the fighting to stop to protect children after the delivery of 600,000 doses of vaccines.

“Unicef continues to call for a ceasefire and humanitarian corridor for the provision of critical child survival interventions to avert unnecessary deaths associated with communicable diseases,” the UN agency said in a post on X.

“Today the situation is unimaginably stressful for children in Gaza. We do not want to see children who survive the bombing die because they are not vaccinated,” said the organisation’s Maulid Warfa.
