IHC seeks reply from PTI’s Ali Nawaz Awan

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought a reply from PTI leader Ali Nawaz Awan on a plea seeking the dismissal of his petition for the issuance of a no-objection certificate (NOC) to hold a sit-in in the capital.

Awan had moved the IHC over the delay in the issuance of the NOC last month. Subsequently, the Islamabad administration had filed a miscellaneous petition for the plea’s dismissal last week.

Justice Aamer Farooq clubbed both pleas at today’s hearing and sought a reply from Awaz at the next hearing on November 11.

During the hearing, the capital administration’s counsel said the PTI had sought permission for staging a sit-in in Islamabad from November 3 to November 5.

“Since the dates have passed, the PTI’s plea has been rendered ineffective,” the lawyer contended.
