NY paramedics returning to Kashmir

NEW YORK, Dec 9: The New York paramedics who rushed to the earthquake-ravaged areas of Pakistan immediately following reports of devastation caused by the disaster plan to return to Kashmir, a leader of the team said on Thursday.

At a fund-raiser, Nick Lobel-Weiss, one of the 13 paramedics who rushed to Kashmir, said the group had received the necessary funding and would be carrying equipment worth $1 million, including 1,000 fire-resistant tents. An announcement about their second trip to Pakistan would be made next week.

Mr Lobel-Weiss was the guest speaker at a dinner held at the residence of Pakistan’s UN Ambassador Munir Akram.
