TAXILA: The Wah Cantonment police on Sunday booked a policeman for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman, making her video and later blackmailing her.

The case was registered against the nominated accused on the directive of the local court.

The victim had lodged an application with additional sessions judge Taxila, alleging that an ASI, presently posted at Fatehjang police station has sexually assaulted her and made her video. Later, he forced her to keep illicit relations by blackmailing her through her videos.

She said when she reported the case to the Wah Cantonment police to get justice, the police officials pressurised her to withdraw her application.

She further said that to save his skin from legal action, the policeman submitted a fake marriage certificate.

On the direction of the court, the Rawalpindi regional police officer has directed Wah Cantonment SHO to register a case against the policeman.
