LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar says the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has died down and opposition gained nothing except embarrassment and humiliation.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, the chief minister said politics of deceit and falsehood could not continue for long and the ‘unnatural’ alliance of opposition parties was fast moving towards its logical end. He said the opposition had totally ignored national interest and added that masses also rejected them for interrupting the development journey.

Mr Buzdar regretted that the opposition tried to block development journey at every occasion adding that the government would continue to move forward despite difficult circumstances. He said the unnatural association of 11 heterogeneous parties could not last even for 11 months and stressed that the PDM should reconsider its negative behaviour. He said the PDM would continue facing defeats. He advised the opposition to be patient till 2023 as every conspiracy against the government had been foiled by the people.
