FAISALABAD: A man allegedly raped a 10-year-old girl here on Sunday in Razabad police precincts.

Submitting an application, the father of the girl said she had left home on Sunday to purchase some products from a nearby shop. He said he launched a search when she did not return home after half an hour.

He said the girl was found in a pool of blood near the Base Line and she was critical. The girl was shifted to the hospital. Police have registered a case under section 376-III of the PPC.

Footages shared with the media showed a motorcyclist chased the girl when she returned from a shop, picked her up and fled.

Locals said the motorcycle of the suspect was not carrying a registration number plate. Further investigation is underway.
