LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Wednesday tested negative for coronavirus after spending 17 days in isolation.
Mr Buzdar had testedpositive for the virus on Dec 21 and immediately gone into isolation. He, however, continued performing official work from the chief minister secretariat’s lawns while maintaining social distance, and later from his home.
He remained in good health during the isolation, as senior doctors continued to check up on him and ensured proper medication and diet.
Mr Buzdar thanked the people for their prayers for his early recovery and stated that he continued performing official work during the period he was infected. “I will continue serving the masses with more conviction and enthusiasm,” he said, adding that people should observe restraint and ensure their safety by wearing facemasks.
