Release of 60 Pakistanis held in Sudan urged

ISLAMABAD, Aug 22: Human rights activist Ansar Burney has urged the government of Sudan for early release of 60 Pakistanis languishing in its jails for the last six months. In a press statement issued here on Monday, the Chairman of Ansar Burney Welfare Trust said most of the Pakistanis had gone to Sudan for job after an agreement with a firm, but later were arrested for unknown reasons. He said a Kashmiri recruiting agency had arranged visas for these people after receiving huge amounts from them.
