KARACHI: Telenor Pakistan has condemned the desecration of the holy Quran and expressed concern over the incident that took place in Kristiansand, Norway, the company clarified its position in a press release on Monday.

It further dispelled rumours about discontinuation of the company’s services following the circulation on social media of a fake notice attributed to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, which was also disowned by the regulator. Through another press release, the PTA clarified that the notice was fake and urged people to refrain from circulating it on social media.
