Thousands of animals die from various diseases every year for lack of proper medical facilities. Neither the livestock department nor any politician take interest to improve the situation.
The condition of the veterinary clinics in villages across the Rajanpur district is even more worse. The staff deployed there are drawing their salaries without performing any duty.
Social circles have urged the Punjab government and the department concerned to ensure the presence of the staff and the provision of medicines, besides repairing and renovating buildings of veterinary hospital and clinics.
