There’s a palpable void in Farhat Bibi’s new house which is complete yet heavily incomplete. Widowed husband Abid Ali Shah and sons Baqir and Sitwat Ali Shah are still numb with grief as they tearfully recall memories of the cast-iron strong superwoman in their lives.
Farhat was an experimental cook and enjoyed making new dishes for her husband and son. She was fond of tours and picnics and often organized outings for the family.
She held the position of Urdu teacher at APS for three years until her death. Her prolific academic qualifications included an MA in Arabia, MA in Islamiat, an M.Ed and a B.Ed. She was also a Hafiz in Quran.
A social worker and chairtable woman, Bibi was committed to helping poor and needy people. Her sister, Abida Bibi, remembers her as someone who was devoted to her family.
