CHAKWAL: Two persons were killed in two separate incidents, police said on Wednesday.

The first incident occurred on Talagang Road near Bhikari Kallaan village where a recklessly driven car hit a motorcyclist.

The driver of the car managed to escape. The motorcyclist, identified as Sohaib Safdar was a resident of Mari village, was rushed to District Headquarters Hospital but could not survive.

Saddar Police have started efforts to trace the driver of the car who was identified by his first name Yasir, a resident of Malakwal village.

The second incident occurred on Choa Saidan Shah-Kallar Kahar Road near Tatral village where a rashly driven mini-truck hit a motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was identified as Ghulam Haider, a resident of Kandowal village, in tehsil Pind Dadan Khan of Jhelum district. He died on the spot.
