Peace committees

Published

PEACE committees were formed in those conflict zones of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where security forces had established the writ of the state, after flushing out extremists.

Since then, the members of the peace committees are on the hit list of the extremists.

There is hardly a day when the killing of one or more members of some peace committee is not reported.

It is, therefore, incumbent upon the government to provide security to the members of the peace committees who are playing a crucial role in the restoration of peace to the different conflict zones of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
