LAHORE: Punjab has doubled leave encashment facility for all government employees who can now get paid for 365 days instead of 180. The finance department has issued a notification to the effect after approval by the chief minister.

The facility was granted in September 2013 to those government employees who retired after completing their service tenure. But, those who retired prematurely on medical grounds or died during the service were denied the provision.

Now, employees in all categories will get the leave encashment facility for 365 days.
