KARACHI Pakistan climbed to 59th place in the 39th Chess Olympiad when they recorded a commanding 4-0 victory over Luxembourg in the eighth round in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia.

According to the message received here on Friday, Pakistan had stood 72nd after the seventh round in the 149-nation competition.—APP
