KARACHI, Nov 26 The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi announced on Friday the results of Intermediate Part-I (Class XI), Science, Pre-Medical group, annual examinations-2010.

According to the results, girl candidates' overall pass percentage in all the six papers stood at 47.56 per cent as compared to the 28.34 of boy students.

Of the total 14,153 candidates (2,912 boys and 11,241 girls) who appeared in the examinations, in all 6,165 candidates (822 boys and 5,343 girls) were declared passed in all the six papers; 2,014 candidates (335 boys and 1,679 girls) cleared five papers; 1,856 candidates (358 boys and 1,498 girls) passed four papers; 2,104 candidates (586 boys and 1,518 girls) cleared three papers; 1,277 candidates (467 boys and 810 girls) got through in two papers while 568 candidates (259 boys and 309 girls) were declared passed in only one paper.

Meanwhile, BIEK controller of examinations Prof Agha Akber Mirza has announced that marks statements of the candidates will be issued directly to the colleges concerned after two weeks.About the scrutiny of answer books, he said that it could be done with the submission of a scrutiny form within 40 days of declaration of the result on payment of a prescribed fee.

He said that decisions concerning all 18 unfair means cases reported in the examinations had already been taken and their results would be announced shortly after the decisions were approved by the BIEK board of governors.
