Asalam-o-Alikum to all Muslim Brothers and Sisters One month have been passed and still no criminal of this case got punished. I donot know why court is doing REMAND etc of criminals? They just order right away to punish them in the same way as they did with these two innocent brothers. I was unable to watch the whole film on YOUTUBE as i am feeling someone beating me... These criminals have no religion as every religion condemn it. I donot know what is the condition of their family... They must be spending restless sleep in pain and agony. May ALLAH rest their souls in peace and criminals got punished as early as possible. ameen sum ameen.

Assalam-o-alaikum, I'm student of 2nd year.I was shocked and crying with the tears of blood when i heard about this brutal act.I think that we should rise for the justice of those innocent brothers,but not only passing comments about this incident we should be brave and come out because those people who were just watching and taking videos at that moment of such a devilish crime are not from us.I personally think that we should tell Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudry to immediately take notice of this incident,a serious notice and he should give a justifying decision.

Saud, CJ has taken a suo motu notice of the incident and its being investigated. Today they're carrying out second autopsy of the lynched brothers as the first autopsy report was tampered, such is the height of lawlessness!! The next hearing is on September 27, the investigation report will be submitted on September 16, 2010.

This incident has affected me so badly. i still cry for the brothers 3 wks after there death. i just can't unerstand what the world is coming to. how could these devils (calling them animals is an insult to animals) commit such merciless violence to these teenagers. Didn't they once think how would they feel if they were in the victim's place? Those people who do not have mercy. Allah will not have mercy on them on the day of judgement. I totally disagree with you Noor. You are talking about treating these people the same way they treat those two boys. Let me remind you, punishing those who are directly involved in this crime is one thing, but saying that this will be the only way these people, who are watching idly this gruesome and brutal public murder, can learn their lesson is not a very constructive and educated way to move forward in a civilized society. These people are part of the crime because of their sheer ignorance and backwardness in education. When groups of people collectively are involved in such heinous crimes or atleast a silent witness to the crime happening on the street, it means something is really wrong with the cultural, behavioural, social and religious norms of the society itself.

They were "wrongly" (as proven by Judicial Commission enquiry by Supreme Court) accused of having robbed one Bilal. Bilal was killed during robbery; the murder has yet to be investigated. Someone from the crowd accused the boys and they were thrashed by the mob...

I am proud to be a Pakistani, those two guys were killed because of mistaken identity, otherwise they were killing the robbers in the presence of Police and thousands of other Proud Pakistanis. Let me give you an example in Canada, the fire department were inspecting my office building and noticed that there is an exit door which cannot be opened from inside without the key, they asked me to put a thumb lock I argued that it is for robbers, the fire department said thats why the door should be opened without a key, what if a robber is inside and trapped in fire , is robbery a crime punishable by death?

I don't have words or even courage to describe this. I am ashamed as a Pakistani, as a human being and as a muslim. This is the month of Ramadaan in which the only thing that you practice is patience. I watched the clip for a few seconds and could not continue, it is simply mind boggling that the whole crowd alongwith the POLICE watched this butchery for more than two hours. How low can you go. I pray to Allah for the departed souls, May Allah give them the highest place in jannah, Ameen. I have no confidence in any of the institutions in Pakistan, be it judiciary or executive. I do not think there will be any justice done, it will be delayed for unknown number of years and the incident will gradually fade away from our memory. I also endorse your statement that minorities are sometimes at the recieving end in secular countries too, but its not a regular feature there as happening in Pakistan where minorities are the main targets of attacks and state and public remain silent spectators. It was an act of barbarism. All people who were watching this incident are also responsible for this incident to happen and needs to be equally punished by the law as those main culprits (I call them Animals) and those policemen present at that time. For the people who were watching it at that time it was just like a show and did not try to stop this incident which they could.

whole incident was full of worst things but they were in following order: Worst of all- the dead bodies taken in a mazda truck were dragged with rope out of truck at destination (check Turkish web sites they have full video) Worse- dead bodies were hanged by mob and people were taking photos Worse- the whle event

1) Folks, Chief Justice should treat the DPO and standing police as an accomplices to the murder and should charge them for second degree murder. 2) DPO escaped from house arrest... this leads to believe that guards assisted or ignored the escaped as they may had previous association with the DPO. So the guards should be charged for X number of years in jail. And if DPO is not caught within certain time frame, guards imprisonment should get doubled. 3) There should be a reward for turning in the couple of butchers who were beating boys. Basically, a nationwide search. Once get caught, a year in jail followed by execution. If Chief Justice cannot carry this or similar steps then he should resign or Pakistani as nation should step him down. Pakistan nation has now become incident dwellers and blame gamers and stingy to contribute their effort be make it a better nation.

I had to change the TV channel before my teen age children could realize what is happening on the TV screen. The footage was not different than from those violent video games which we keep out of the reach of our children. How on the earth some one will be so insensitive from this merciless, inhumane killing of fellow human being. We must investigate and do reserch that what happend to our moral obligation and sensitivity to our fellow citizens. Is it religious extremeism or ecnomical situation or lack of confidence in our justice system which leading us towards this baberic and savage attitude. Media is playing its fair rule, now justice need to play its role. Only a swift rapid justice in this kind of cases may bring the confidence and fear in the public. If this case is lost again in to the "fact finding " and "judicial inquiries", rest assure there will be more incidence like this as usual.

Animals.. i just cant believe what has just happened on this holy month of Ramadan . And once again our police.. So called the protector of our law were standing silent watching the brutality as if it was something out of a horror show ! may God protect our land from these inhuman culprits.

It is hard to watch the whole video. I do not know what has happened to the peolpe watching teh torture being inflicted on two innocnet brothers. rather than interventing and saving their lives, they were busy in making films. Shame on them. However, if we reflect deeper into this incidents, it remins us the crumbling state of our institutions. It seems that people after loosing faith in the state institutions have started taking law into their own hands. This incident is practical manifestation of it. This incident has done nothing except further deteriorated our already tarnished image in the comity of civilized nations.

According one Hadith, a Hafiz-e-Quran is actually a Quran and this horrible happening apart from being killing of humanity is also Shahadat-e-Quran. So what our scholars and custodians of Islam have to say of the punishment? What our law of land says? This is definitely much worse than Swat flogging of a women. We can have no excuse like paid and scripted drama for this incident. One is lost for words to describe the heinous brutality of the crime and inhuman police accesses.

I doubt that they attended any schools or followed any culture. This was a human act not committed by GOD. So human should take responsibility rather than asking Allah to show right direction to Pakistan. My daughter showed me the video on utube while I was breaking my fast. I could not see all of it and then I could not eat. The vision of 2 boys hanging and people around taking pictures made me cry. NO ONE had the humanity to come forward and bring the bodies down even after they were dead was too much to digest.

I want to move back home i.e. Pakistan but with these kind of incidents am scared of taking my samily there for good where nothing is actually good anymore.... Any human being that had the misfortune to watch this video will be scarred for life. I know I have been. I am at a total loss for words. I cannot even call this a barbaric act carried out by barbarians because a barbarian does not know right from wrong. The people carrying out this act were not normal people, it seems these people have done this many times, I cannot imagine a normal person hitting another person when he is already bleeding and lying on the ground. I read with sadness about what has happened to these young men and I feel even more sadness that people stood and watched and that the police officials present did not do anything. I live in UK and although there are immoral things that go on around us, I believe that if anyone in my neighbourhood saw someone else being attacked they would group together and assist that person and I would hope and pray they would not stand and watch while they videoed it. The only possible use for that video footage would be to assist in convicting the perpertrators. The on-lookers should have jumped in to help these poor souls. Jawad, This brutal act was done under the direct 'supervision' of police. Some people who tried to come forward and try to stop this barbaric act were pushed back by police and asked not to interfear. Thanks to some body in the audience who made this movies, hopefully this brutal murder will not go unpunished. But you never know. Do you remember the murder of a servant girl by a lawyer family in Lahore or the rape of a teen age girl by several policemen. Those brutal acts stayed in the news a few days and then every body forgot. I hope the same thing does not happen in this case and the murderers and the police people are killed the way the killed these boys.

I think this incident is shocking enough without having to bring communalism into it. People are feeling sorry because it was an inhuman act.

I got oftened when Someone in USA said We as Pakistan are from Stone age... you know what that is so true.....After seeing this & every other day, Pakistan & Pakistani are still living in stone age. They have name Islamic Name but but that it.... there is no Islamic or close to Islam in that country. It is Lawless country.

There aren't enough words to condemn this horrific murder. If the policemen there had done their duty, this savagery could have been avoided. As these policemen did nothing, they aided and abetted in this crime. This calls for the highest judicial investigation and death penalty for all those involved, including those policemen. Akshay-when I heard the story I was unaware about the religion of the victims but no difference in my feelings since then. I was shocked just by the acts of the killers, spectators and police irrespective of the the victims religion. The real tragedy will be if the killers of these brothers are not brought to justice. Each and everyone has been captured clearly on film, the People who beat them with lathis and the cops who stood by idly, all deserve a death sentence or life imprisonment. Death sentence for the ones actually hitting the boys, life sentence for the Cops, and 5 years imprisonment for the watchers except the people who took videos for without whose help this crime would not be exposed. I was disturbed watching vedio clip of butchering two young inocent boys. I fail to understand how can a human be so insensitive and crual to his own fellow human. SHAME ON PAKISTANI PEOPLE that after two weeks culprits are still absconding. Police should be charged with murder. I prey to GOD may rest soul of two brothers in pease. This is the most disturbing news especially these two young people were killed by beating in presence of a large crowd, many of whom were also capturing the incident on their mobile phones, and being cordoned off and assisted by the police. Makes me think this is the most barbaric act one can witness, save the killings by Taliban and other extremists. What were the feelings of the people who witnessing this? It seems that they were all devoid of any sensitivity or feelings. All the onlookers, the police and the media were are just barbarians taking pleasure in this gory act. If there is a law in Pakistan, if there is justice in Pakistan then all the people who are captured in the videos should be tried for murder or abetting in the crime.

I somehow am not getting what you have against the people who made videos of this incidence. Had it not been for those people, would the truth have come out in so much black and white as it has come now? The community as a whole is answerable for this incidence, not the few individual video shooters. Faced with such a murderous crowd, which is also being supported by the police, I think the best I as a single individual would have done is to make a video so that at least the perpetrators might be brought to book.

I am shocked people were recording this while two boys were beaten to death. If these people stood up to these mob I am sure they would have survived, All these people who just watched are as guilty as the mobs. I am right now at my work desk and typing all this. Believe it or not, just like the rest of you, I cried. I kept going to the toilets and just locked myself in there and cried! The video is extremely disturbin! I couldn't sleep. I feel sick to just think about it let alone watch the video. I just wish I hadn't seen the video - my heart goes out to their family - no one can imagine what they must be going through. I mean I am sat in England and feeling like this and even guilty to some extent and them people who were at the scene were busy making videos n laughing. Not even one person had the guts to come out. Iknow one individual cant do much but there were so many people - they could have teamed up and they could have stopped 2 innocent boys from dying! There only fault was that they went to a nearby village to play cricket and something kicked off from there - and then they accused them of robbery! and beated them even after they took their last breathe. I cant imagine what they were thinking at the time - they would have wanted to go back home - they begged but no one helped them out. they were both Qur'an Hafiz - they were sweet innocent biys who lost their lives in Ramzaan - they have surely gone straight into Jannah - ALLAH is watching - them people who beated them up and the people who were making videos, who were laughing and who just stood there to watch the show will be punished severely! Mayy Allah give their family sabr - and we all should remember them in our prayers - as Pakistani and as Muslims its the least we can do for them.

I couldn't sleep last night, because yesterday in a political party meeting where I was invited, some foreigners asked me after watching & reading Sialkot's story '' why Pakistanis are so brutal & act like a barbarians " ? This situation would never have arisen if Pakistanis had worked hard to set up a lawful democracy where principles of Islam are upheld. That is why incidents of this kind never happened when Muslims ruled half of the world with a major portion of the citizens were non - Muslims. These situations do not arise because Pakistanis have opted for Islamic System of Justice in their country, these incidents are result of the fact that majority of Pakistanis never tried to implement any system of justice let alone the Islamic System. One can not blame System for the inefficiencies of its followers. I remember incidents of such (or even graver) brutalities happening in secular democracies. The problem is that rule of law is not implemented in letter and spirit by the people which results in such horrific situations.

What possibly a punishment for the criminals who murder or the crowd who watch the act like it is an entertainment to kill and torture? I would say it is simply not possible to serve an equal and just punishment in this case. The culprit is the society as well not just the hands who commit the murders. In my opinion, the culprits needs to be forced to sit with the parents of these two brothers. This event should be broadcast on national media so that every one will get to see the revenge seekers are not HERO as portrayed by our system. The culprits should live behind bars and take the shame and memories of this act to their graves. Society may get some lessons from it if someone in senses could do this ... I watched the clip as someone shared it on my facebook page and since then I have struggled to sleep or eat properly. All I can see is brusied images of these two brothers and I can feel the pain on my body of those sticks, bricks and many other things which were used to beat them up....I can here the begging of the brother who died second - he kept on saying that please dont hit him just shoot him.....how can those people ignore it all ? where did their heart go ? why didnt anyone stop them from the crowd ?... I have tried to think about any justification points of this but I cant find anything be it even if they were murderers. This is indeed shocking. I have not seen the video and do not wish to. Just want to tell my Indian friends something, being an Indian. Such incidents happen all over the world. They happen in India, too. Please do not drag secularism into this incident. Pakistan has its own set of problems, but we are not "doodh ka dhula" either. I have watched videos of people caught for some petty crimes , beaten to pulp by the crowd and then paraded in town under the protection of police . this is by far the most horifing thing i have ever seen. I just cant believe this kind of stuff can happen in this day and age. its save to say we are back in stone ages. I have not watched the video of this brutal killing and neither do I intend to; hearing what others have to say about this most shocking and abhorrent act is enough for me to imagine the immense pain the family of the victims would have gone through. All aside, the most important questions has already been raised by the author: where were the hearts and souls of those who were witnessing this savage butchery? On the one hand, we as a nation can rise to the stature of being the most helpful (e.g. the flood relief efforts) and on the other, we can fall to the lowest depths of humanity by being silent watchers in a game of slaughter such as this one. Where is this nation headed? I don't know and I don't want to think about its direction. As a nation and as a people, we have lost all respect, dignity and humanity if we had any left in us! I invite all the viewers to just for a few minutes imagine the immense pain of those killed in this episode and (above all) the immense pain and slow death of the family of the deceased who will die a slow death with every passing death knowing that their sons' slaughter has been captured on video! Nay, but shall all feel the pain if you have but an iota of soul within you!

I strongly condemn this barbarican act by the people of Pakistan. The government should punish each and every one who support this cruel killing. All of them should be given capital punishment which must be the lesson to rest barbaric people. This is very cruel killing and inhuman. My heart broken to view this scene.

People responsible for this must be given same kind of torture at the same place. Only then they will realize what the innocent boys would have felt when they were beating them. Policemen must be punished in the same way! The incident was the result of their inhuman attitude. They could have easily stopped people beating them. I feel the pains of young boys, who were brutally tortured and beaten to death, and the pains of their family, who can never forget this tragedy. Police should be demolished, we don't need such a police, which knows no law. I want media to fight for the justice like they fought during the Swat incident when a girl was beaten in public. This is real terrorism and strict actions must be taken before they start killing more innocent souls.

Please! Please don't try to score political points here. In Islam the concept is simple and clear: "The murder of an innocent person is the murder of the whole humanity". Also, in Islam, there is a sysyem of accountability and the criminals are punished by the government after the due process which includes seeing their day in the court of law by the criminals. Unfortunately, this principle is not being followed in pakistan. The criminals are encouraged by the fact that they would not be caught or if caught they would be pardoned. Unfortunately, when the top brass uses its power/authority of pardoning the criminals, the message is clear that "We are above law". There were cases in Rajanpur and other places, and criminals are still free. If this heinous crime was committed in the darkness of night by an individual, I could perhaps understand it; however, the demo of this highest level of brutality by a large group of people over an extended period of time without any resistance or intervention by the law enforcement officials and in the day light-this is unimaginable. Have we lost the moral ground to live and exist? Sadly, perhaps the answerr is "Yes".

I don't know how to even start commenting on such a brutal atrocity. I'm not speechless, I'm terrified after viewing the pictures of the two brothers killed in broad daylight, when everyone stood by for hours watching them beaten to death and audaciously hung and dragged on the streets for all to see. All, its been almost 10 days since this tragedy happened and I have been searching through the news but could not find anything substantial that shows that those brutal animals who did this murder of innocent boys have been caught or brought to justice. I am extremely saddened by the events that took place in Sialkot. There is no seperation of powers in Pakistan and therefore justice can never be expected to be achieved. This case was highlighted due to the modern media in which everyone is out there to get a "scoop"! Pakistan was created because of Islam and it will fall because of it too...Pakistan has lost the values on which it was built. We in the UK, are appalled by what we have seen. At the present time, in the UK a woman is being interviewed by the Police for putting a cat in the trash can. The cat was not killed but was left in there for 15 hours. There is a public outcry. Compare that with what has happened in our beloved Pakistan.

No the tragedy is not that the boys were Muslims, but those who watched them die call themselves Muslims. The spectators are even guiltier than the criminals. India being secular has its own similar problems. The Gujarat massacre cannot be easily forgotten. Wanton massacre of Christians has been on the rise and so on. Lynching of lower class Hindus by upper class Hindus was quite common though reduced now. Primarily people have to be educated and dependable/honest rule of law should prevail under responsible leadership irrespective of secular, democratic or dictatorial governance. South Korea developed socially and industrially under a army dictator and so did Singapore under a type of civilian dictator.

I am completely at loss to make a sense of the collusional apathy of the police force that was present at the scence of the ultimate horror and all this in the month of Ramazan. Here the justice has to pass in its impartial brutality against all those involved in this murder and even the howling on-lookers to protect the civil society from fracturing into bits.

According one of the sayings of our Prophet (PBUH), a Hafiz-e-Quran is an honest record carrier of Quran and therefore a Quran. That makes the horrible happening of Sialkot apart from being killing of humanity, also a Shahadat-e-Quran because one of the lynched youth was a Hafiz-e-Quran. So what our scholars and custodians of Islam have to say about it in that context? What does our law of land says? This is definitely much worse incident than the Swat flogging of a woman. There was no public outcry. It seemed like people supported the persecution. Now with no more minorities around, the people are turning against their own kind and again there is no public outcry as people have got used to such brutalities. There is no punishment humanly suitable for this crime. A public execution will not be an equitable puhishment either. Since watching the clips on internet of the two lovely brothers being subjected to barbarism by the hands of angry mob, I am unable to get the images out of my mind. In every prayer I curse the people beating up and the crowed looking at them. I feel so sad about the mother of the boys who might be expecting them coming home for iftar and receiving the news of their brutul murder. It may have been far less painful for her and the family if the boys had died in an accident rather then subject to suffering at the hands of the mob. I am from new delhi. I often see Hasbe Haal of Dunya Tv through you tube. I just came across the lynching of two innocent brothers in Sialkot. I could not sleep on that day. But I don't blame Pakistani society as a whole. We Indians are also similar, the reason for this is that we do not always rely on police and slow judicial system and often start punishing the suspects on our own. There are numerous road accidents in India where the erring drivers had been lynched in a similar fashion. Now the drivers are more alert as they abandon their vehicles and run away to escape such inhuman treatments. A few years ago I had seen a chain snatcher in delhi being beaten mercilessly by all and sundry. I never know whether he remained alive after such a brutal justice. But indeed Pakistani society has been passing through a traumatising and hopeless phase, the reaction may become more sharp. But I also support the punishment of foolish policemen spectators.

Truly, it is a sad incident. But, instead of telling the Pakistani people to wake up, you should understand what is happening in India. Watch out Times Now or NDTV to see the mob lynching in Bihar and U.P. The guys are brutally attacked in public for petty crimes. The only consolation is the victims are not dead in the end.

I live in west and Pakistan image is badly tarnished here. I am avoiding English people today because I feel embarrassed if they ask me any questions about Sialkot murders. I am only Pakistani in this company and wanted to arrange money for Flood victims of Pakistan. I managed to arrange lots of money when Pakistan was hit by Earth quake but after this incident I am reluctant to ask for money from my colleagues for Flood victims if just in case they ask me about the brutalities. I do not know why but I get very upset and always feel insecure whenever i see police patroling. This incident tells me that my instincts are right. As a british born 'pakistani' i watched this disgusting crime on tv and saw clips on the internet. It quite possibly the worst thing i have seen in my life and as of today i and no doubt millions like me across the world hereby renounce any ties, respect, affinity or links to that god forsaken country.

It is a shame that we live in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan where nothing is Islamic. It is sad this has happened when Pakistan is in the grip of severe floods & of all during the blessed month of Ramadan ul Mubarak.It is hypicrossy of the highest level. Dear All brother and sisters, I am from Afghanistan I live in Pakistan for more then 18 years. I remember that one day when the cost of car rent 1% got high. and the government faced with alots of PARADE and after three days it came down. Now, I am seeing that my Pakistani brother and sister fall in sleep and I feel that when the Mosq is Shahid and now I am totaly confused when I see these videos of two brother. Dear All, I live and work in Scotland and has lived most of my life in Pakistan. Lived in various cities of Pakistan from Islamabad, Karachi to Lahore......I was shocked to see that this Sad News, it was in the Metro newspapers of Scotland, And my Scottish colleague at work just read the headlines "Two brothers Killed by Mob in presence of Police" I felt shame and thought its not the same Pakistan which I Left 5years ago in 2005. Me and My wife is been stressed and worried, as I know we all are.........I am not sure if the people who did it will be punished by the Govt but I am Sure Allah ki lati Bay Awaz hoti haie.......I pray to Allah for the justice and Help the family who lost their dear ones "Allah unhainh Sabar ata Farmaie Ameen..... When people have no confidence in justice sytem through police and judiciary the result is in the form of the Sialkot incident. Now a quick justice for the two killed may give some hope but if this incident is also goes into the cracks of our burecracy and investigations (like in the pst) then we are seriously heading towards a disaster.

Punishment must be given to those culprits and a real Justice must prevail in the name of humanity. Everything must be exposed to general public similarly as the story was made public. If not this will be another effort to push back Pakistan and Pakistanis and human dignity.

we are living in a time when policeman protects policeman, lawyer protects lawyer, politicans are never wrong, and goverment is always right. everyone has a justification for his/her action, and ofcoruse these actions are not supported by state law and religion. Such incidents happened in Karachi and other parts of Pakistan when the mob killed the actual dacoits or thieves. Even if the men killed at that time were actual dacoits, the mob has no right to kill them on the spot. Since we allowed those incidents to go by without any notice the killing of an innocent in such acts was bound to happen. The way those boys were killed shows that our population is mentally sick and our nation as a whole need an electric shock. Perhaps it is better to think of how we can stop people from committing such terrible acts? There is no justification, no ramification and no remedy for this brutality that even animals wont perpetrate against their kin. I could not watch the video for more than 30 seconds and it left a deep scar on my mind. It left me in tears and anguish that I was close to explode. I can't think right anymore. I can't understand what kind of society are we living in. I can't understand how we, calling ourselves Muslims, allow such a thing, yet doing it. Mob mentality is a monster unleashed and i have seen many such incidents but none as gory as this one. The only way to stop such incidents from repeating is to do justice with the perpertrators especially the law enforcers who sottd and wathced without doing anything. Cirmes against humanity are being committed everywhere and Pakistan is no exception! Only timely and just judicial system will prevent such crimes from being committed. This sort of Police brutality is not new. A similar incident happened in Faisalabad, few months ago, where a woman was brutally beaten by Police officers. Nothing happened. A few weeks earlier, an incident happened in Chiniot, and shown on TV. What happened to these Policemen? Nothing. An Express TV Reporter was beaten by the Police in Lahore and his equipment was destroyed. The concerned Policemen flee the area with the help of this fellow Police officers. The end result Nothing happened.

Dear Readers, I live and work in Dubai and when I heard this tragic news from my son in Pakistan, the first thing which strike me was is it safe for my kids living in Pakistan under such condition, and I very well know that the same feeling prevail with all humans living in Pakistan, but no where to go we have to live in Pakistan as this is only place we can live because this is our motherland, we have to once and for all tell the people in power that enough is enough.

I saw children less than 10 year old kicking and clubbing those dead bodies. Wallah. We are growing a well groomed new generation.

I have never been disturbed by any news from Pakistan the way I am by this news! It has kept me up at night thinking about those kids and their mother. I have literally cried myself to sleep! I watched the video accidently and cant take those images out of my head!

I read these comments with regret. Either they are emotional or nationalist in their nature. Emotions want us to rush to quick justice and nationalist want us to hide. None has solution. The problem is all over and not one person or the agency can be blamed. Lets start with media. Only one day after the incident, dawn published news that says that two robbers were killed by citizens. Of course we know the news was incorrect and probably it came from the police agency that oversaw the killing. So the news media does not collect its news independently, it is embedded in the the police and they help each out. Police in Gujrawala has been on killing spree for years and no one seemed to care. It is my opinion that most of the persons killed were innocent. So killing by police is not illegal in operational sense. We all saw the footage, I saw every piece that I could find on the web. It clearly shows that police were present, DPO was present, SHO was present, when the mutilated bodies were paraded through Sialkot city, a police officer was riding on the trolley and a police vehicle was following it. I even saw a child beating the victims. DPO publicly claims that he was not there and was not present in the early stages of that the mob lynching. His claim can easily be refuted by the footage. Now there is a claim that there are people who could be deposed that DPO was not there? Who are these people? Obviously, they claim to be on the scene. So either they are lying or they were present. If they were present then they may also be the ones who took part in the beating. Take them to task and they will run away. There is a piece of news that intelligence agencies have information that DPO was not there. The intelligence officials who want to help their brother DPO should be taken to task because if they were present then why they did not do anything? Furthermore, intelligence agencies were doing what at the scene? Defending the country? Not really. Lahore High Court granted bail to DPO? What? There is enough evidence to prosecute DPO along with other police officers. Obviously, what is going on right now is that establishment has become active and trying to create facts and use the machinery to get the DPO off along with other police officers. Establishment is shameless.

We are still in shock, the recent ongoing tragedy of floods is affected more than 20 million people and destroyed anything which they have, but believe me the killing of two innocent brothers in a barbarian way in front of hundreds of people and police mans is broken the hearts of 170 million Pakistani's. I sqeezed my eyes shut when the video aired.I feel depressed to my soul when i think of their parents. How on earth,in a muslim state and in a spiritual month like Ramadan this can happen?. No rule of law or respect of humanity. All i know is this that the killers and their supporters won't get away from Allah ever for doing such a heinous act,no matter what the government or courts do.

When the police was supporting these monsters, if an individual would have stood up, they too would have met the same fate as these 2 brothers. However by making the video, they now have made the whole country aware about what happened. Even taking a video must be a risk at a time like this but they took this risk. I think they are heroes.

The time I saw this brutalism I lost my composer and felt sick. The only question raging in my mind is how someone calling himself a human being could become so barbaric. The way the boys were executed shows that the concerned executioner and the onlookers were no more than beasts. I suggest setting up of a summary court to try and punish these beasts within 2 weeks. i couldn't sleep on the night i watched the video. i imagine the victims helplessness and pain. O God! this was brutal, brutal, brutal.

This is brutality at its peak. My heart feels deep sorrow, but my question is to so many so called political parties with religion as their agenda. Have they ever tried to help those poor people whether they are poor, from a different sect or from minorities? Have they ever helped police to identify the culprits? Have they ever even condemned publicly the brutality we as common people of Pakistan are suffering due to terrorists and such criminals. I say that because when it comes to burning flags, cars and building in protest of some acts outside Pakistan these people are on the forefront. I agree with Zaffar. Root cause of most if not all problems is absolutely corrupt politicians and so called leaders we have. It starts from top and distills down at every level. There should be absolutely no mercy for killers of these two brothers. Also, there needs to be a law that should make it illegal for bystanders to do nothing. Other countries have laws like these. Last point I would like to make is there is nothing worst than criminal law enforcement officials. very disturbing pictures really! i watched the video on indian news television and couldn't sleep all night . In morning i searched google for the pakistan news website and found "The Dawn". How people can act with so brutalism. Specially when pakistan is suffering alot from mother nature. Brutal crimes happen in India too, but this was not just a brutal act this was the height of brutalism. The corruption in pakistan starts from right at the top .... the only people in Pakistan who i see are different from the rest and have some morals are the people in the army who have done a lot more for the counry than the goverment. They have helped with the floods and have assisted in many other areas. The only solution i can think of is that there should be a law in the country that makes it compulsory for every teenager in the country to be put in the army from the age ages 15-20, atleast (hopefully) they will grow up to know what discipline, morals and ethics are.

Nothing is going to change. We are muted people led by muted leaders. You all are naive......has anyone got punished in Data Darbar massacre, has anyone got punished IN Ahmadies Mosque massacre. This incident has left me cold. I am a British Muslim who converted to Islam. For many years I lived in Pakistan only leaving due to the escalating violence and terror security issues. I can barely recognise the Pakistan that I lived in for years and can only mourn its passing. Unfortunately I have seen and experienced things that make this incident not an incident that surprises me. I feel deeply saddened that another human being could feel so compelled to batter 2 innocent boys in such a monstrously sickening manner. I however take comfort in the fact that the innocents are Shaheeds and the guilty will be brought to justice (whether or not they are in this life) on the day of judgment. I second that! My 7 year old daughter keeps on asking me why are these people hitting those people??? What am I to answer? just because those kids were Pakistanis, That's why they are getting hit and killed like that? cause law is not on their side. If there was some kind of law and order in this country No one would have dare done a hideous deed like that. Shame on us for calling ourselves Muslims.

First of all my deep condolences to the family of these two brothers, may Allah give the family patient specially mother,and may grant them janna. I have read some comments most people compare the mob act to animals, i think we all are insulting the animal race, really animals are doing what they suppose to do.

They had a fight with the murderers a day or two before on some other matter, and than a robbery happened in the neighborhood, so the murderers grabbed those boys and accused them of the robbery, they were detained initially than these guys got hold of them, with police help, of course, and took them to street.

The brutal killing of innocent brothers by the people witnessed during the time of fasting has tarnished the city of Sialkot for ever.The city was famous as the birthplace of the great poet of Islam but after this act will be remembered as a place where the local people and the local police killed two innocent brothers without any mercy.The people who did the killing were possessed by evil.Yes they should be arrested,tried and for the first time hanged in public in the same city.Nothing less would be justice.The real punishment of course awaits all of them on the day of judgement by the ultimate Judge.

If the media stops playing this footage, we'll forget about it in a couple weeks time. These politicians don't care about the incident anymore than the policemen at the scene did. The only reason everyone thinks that this was a barbaric act was because the video was shown. Otherwise incidents like these are not new in our society. I think the video should be shown just to mobilize the people until the cuprits are brought to justice.

Disgraceful. The evidence is there to try the murderers and justice should be served. Now is the time for Pakistan to show the world it means business. But alas with a corrupt government I sincerely think this will not happen.

I can never forget this incidents for my whole life. I am in so much pain when I think about those two innocent killed so brutally and then their family. No one can bring those innocents back but the culprits can be punished. Is there anyone wh can punish the culprits? I dont understand how could the people bear such a brutal scene? standing right there and watching !!! What image we are giving to the whole world? I dont find words to express myself. I would just say Shame on the police and all the people who were standing there !! And please all the people around the world join together to punish the culprits. If we sit quiet, nothing is gonna happen. We need to join together and pressurize the authorities and administration to take action and punish the culprits as soon as possible. You are 100% right, whenever high ranking police officer or other government official is invovled, every corrupt official comes forward to help him. In my view chapter was closed when supreme court called area police chief and held him responsible for incident. The insult of police chief made whole nation very happy, but game ended then an there. The subordinates of police chief will do everything in their power to save him and other officials. They will seek help of third party, who will negotiate with victims family and after some resistance they will accept the deal. These third parties are expert in these matters. In the end real victims will be those Silakoti Industrialists and contractos who will pay to save their favourite police officers.

What justice are you talking about? Pakistan and "Justice" are two different ends of a specturm. My brother, better face the reality and accept that in Pakistan it could only be justice absent. Justice can only be denied if it was ever present.

Someone has commented in their anger (see above), "I wish the same incident may happen with the children of these barbarians especially with the children of DPO". Please, Please, please ... be mindful of your anger..... why would you pray for some innocent children to go through that.... Revenge on a third party does not serve any purpose. I was devasted by the clip when i watched it on GEO. The act was brutal and barbaric. To my utter most suprise people watched and made videos and then sold to the News channels. I am speechless to this incident!!!!!

Horrified at what happened at Sialkot, the city of Allama Iqbal. Fourteen centuries have passed after the advent of the Greatest and the BEst Religion of the world. We all proclaim to profess Islam and yet the identity of " Brute and Barbarian" is devastatingly depressing. It is really greatest humiliation and a source of depression. Shall we just keep quet? Shall we just keep burning in vengiance, as we are helpless? Is it the first time people have taken justice in their own hands and crossed all limits of brutality ? Many of us couldn't sleep years ago, when zealots were expressing their religous anger and killing and burning members of other communities. Had they been taken to task then society would have reined in this tendency and we would not be witnessing a tragedy in Sialkot. We need to understand all humans are equal regardless colour, cast and creed. As a nation we all share a common guilt.

For God sake, this incident has nothing to do with with politicians...mob represents US. This is the real problem with our society that we want an escape goat for everything and remain at peace with ourselves.

This is true. People's frustrations should not be limited to online blogging but they should come out on the streets and protest. Let every one know that this barbarism does not represent us. Just when I think Pakistan can't sink any lower, it does! The mob; both who watched and who committed this hideous act of atrocity and terrorism, were not Pakistani, they were not even humans.

I felt really sad for the kids. I also felt bad for the poor people caught in floods. I am also wondering whether this level of outrage has been expressed in the past for innocent minorities (Shias, Ahmediyas, Hindus, Christians) killed in Pakistan? I hope your country will feel the same way for everyone killed and not just for Sunni muslims.

We are all sad to see what has happened and want to see justice prevail. But I have a request to the media and especially electronic media: For God's sake stop showing footage of these poor boys' murders in your daily reports again and again. I am sure it does no good for the family of these deceased boys to be tortured again and again by this footage, as well as the rest of us.
